NOVI research guide

How to read a crypto dashboard

A dashboard is most useful when you bring it a clear question. Start with what changed, then inspect the evidence and the uncertainty. This guide describes a research workflow, not a trading strategy.

1. Check the asset, timeframe, and freshness

Confirm the symbol, trading venue, quote currency, and time interval. Then look at the last update time. A fresh price next to an old sentiment reading does not make the sentiment fresh. In NOVI, check the data-health context before treating several panels as a single current picture. Missing data means unknown, not zero.

02

2. Read price alongside participation

Ask whether the chart is showing a persistent move, a range, or an abrupt reaction. Compare volume over equivalent periods and from the same source. A large price move with little supporting context deserves a different research question from a broad, sustained change. Avoid counting several indicators derived from the same prices as independent confirmations.

03

3. Inspect the original evidence

For a news summary, check the publisher, publication time, and original report. For a wallet transfer, check the transaction and whether any address label is verified. The transfer alone cannot reveal its purpose. Record what is observed separately from the explanation proposed by a person or model.

04

4. Ask what would disprove the interpretation

A useful scenario has a time horizon, assumptions, and a condition that would weaken it. Compare the leading view with a plausible alternative. When signals disagree, retain that disagreement instead of averaging it away. A displayed confidence value needs an explanation of how it was calculated and assessed against outcomes.

05

5. Revisit the same question

Save your starting observations and choose a review time. Later, compare the result with the original scenario. Keep misses and unresolved outcomes in the record. Use the sample report linked below to practice this process, then open NOVI for current available data and service status.
